Turning Integration Into a Product
Instead of solving each integration case individually, we helped Prolaz take a more scalable approach turning integration into a reusable product.
We designed and developed a .NET SDK that allows Electronic Cash Register systems to communicate with POS devices in a consistent and predictable way.
This shifted the model from rebuilding integrations repeatedly to providing a standardized, ready-to-use solution.
For the business, that meant faster onboarding and lower operational overhead.
Defining a Reliable Communication Standard
A key part of the project was not just implementation, but defining the communication protocol itself.
POS integrations rely on accurate, real-time data exchange. Even small inconsistencies can lead to:
- Failed transactions
- Data mismatches
- Operational delays
We worked closely with Prolaz to define a protocol that ensured clear structure, predictable behavior, and reliable transaction handling.
This created a foundation that could support multiple partners without introducing instability.
Delivering a Complete, Developer-Ready Solution
The SDK wasn’t delivered as raw code, it was built as a complete, production-ready package.
This included:
- A fully functional SDK distributed via NuGet
- Comprehensive documentation for fast adoption
- Automated tests to ensure reliability
- Transaction logging for traceability and debugging
For developers integrating the system, this meant one thing: less guesswork, faster implementation, fewer errors.
Reducing Operational Risk Through Standardization
POS systems are inherently complex, involving multiple devices and systems that must stay in sync. When integrated correctly, they enable real-time data exchange, faster transactions, and fewer manual errors.
By standardizing integration through the SDK, we helped Prolaz:
- Reduce dependency on custom, one-off implementations
- Minimize integration-related bugs
- Ensure consistent behavior across deployments
This significantly lowered long-term maintenance costs and reduced the risk of failures in production.
Enabling Faster Scaling for a Growing Platform
For a gateway provider like Prolaz, growth depends on how quickly new partners can be onboarded.
With the SDK in place, integration became:
- Faster to implement
- Easier to test
- More predictable to deploy
This directly supported the company’s ability to expand its network and bring solutions to market faster, without increasing technical complexity.
