ESSPERTA – Web Application for Online Exams

The Client

ESSPERTA was founded in 2015 with a mission to knowledge-power its clients’ businesses. Since 2015, they have helped numerous amazing clients to achieve efficiencies, innovation, and customer-centricity by streamlining internal and external knowledge exchange processes. Their flagship product, Performa 365, a cloud-based learning and change support system, had often been the cornerstone of these efforts.

The Project

In cooperation with ESSPERTA, Intellegens developed a system that would allow users to organize online examinations and provide certifications to users.

The solution was a multi-tenant multi-language web application consisting of the module for exam definition, module for exam taking and module for certification. The module for exam taking was particularly interesting as one of the requirements was that methods for preventing online cheating be implemented, which included a lot of different synchronization checks.

The application was built as a single page application in Angular connecting to a REST API built in .NET. The database chosen was MS SQL Server. The application fully covered a multi-language interface (using i18n in Angular) as well as a multi-tenancy architecture in .NET. The solution was delivered as per client needs and Intellegens has assisted the ESSPERTA team with deployment to production in the web, as well as with a few on-premise installations that were requested.
