Lexie – Application for Enjoyable Reading and Learning for People With Reading Difficulties

The Client

Omoguru is a company from Split, Croatia whose mission is to create concrete and useful reading inventions that not only make life easier, but spark in the users a passion for reading and the love for the world of books. The consists of speech therapists, designers, typographers and IT professionals.

The Project

Intellegens was working with Omoguru on developing Lexie – an app that helps people with reading difficulties read and learn more easily. The app is available as a PWA as well, so it can be used both on desktop and mobile devices.

The app allows users to read and create their documents or ebooks with specialized features such as: specific fonts that improve reading quality, features that tackle common dyslexia issues such as changing the colors of “stomacks” on B and D or P and Q to make them more distinguishable, highlighting the line the user is reading so you can focus more easily, text-to-speech features and focus lines that follow the text as TTS is reading it… and many more.

The project was successfully developed and is live in production.
